Every church needs to have a purpose statement that answers the question, “why do we exist?” At Victory Church, we filter every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it.
Our purpose at Victory Church is summarized in a single statement:
To help people find and fulfill their God-given purpose.
Our statement of purpose is based on these scriptural truths:
I know the PLANS that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for prosperity and not calamity, plans to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
“The LORD has made everything for its own purpose,…” (Proverbs 16:4)
“Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.” (2 Timothy 1:9)
Victory Church exists:
- To win souls and make disciples by helping people KNOW GOD, FIND FREEDOM, DISCOVER PURPOSE, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
- To LOVE GOD, because God unconditionally loves us.
- To LOVE PEOPLE, because Jesus is in love with all people.
- To PURSUE EXCELLENCE, because God desires for us all to grow spiritually.
- To HAVE FUN, because God loves it when we serve Him with joy and gladness.
- To teach biblical principles on how to live in victory.
- To impact our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- To raise up people who see themselves as ministers of God, and reach out to those around them with the love and power of God.
