Financial giving can be divided into three categories: tithes, offerings, and alms. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is ten percent of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering. When moved with compassion towards those less fortunate than ourselves, our giving is considered alms to the poor.

That easy! If you have never set up Text-to-Give, you will be prompted to add a payment method. If it’s also your first time donating, a new donor account with Planning Center Giving will be set up for you automatically. Essentially, Text-to-Give needs three elements:
During set up, the system will use your geographical location and phone number to suggest churches nearby that use Planning Center Giving and have the Text-to-Give add-on enabled. Select Victory Church. If you ever move to a new church that happens to use Planning Center Giving, it’s easy to disconnect your phone from your current donor profile by logging in to the donor interface online or by simply sending the common “STOP” keyword.
Fund-specific donations
To give to a specific fund, you can specify it like so: $10 missions or $20 building. To get a list of available funds or get help, the Text-to-Give system will respond to the “HELP” keyword.
